In 2012, Matthew McConaughey turned his Texas ranch into a luxury glamping site. But it wasn’t for tourists, but the guests at his wedding. Reportedly, the tents were equipped with all sorts of amenities, and they all were air-conditioned.

An overnight stay can cost you from a reasonable $50 and all the way to a thousand or more dollars. All dependant on the factors mentioned above.

Glamping sites are given stars as same as hotels and hotel resorts. Garden Village Bled is a glamping site in Slovenia that was awarded six stars based on 150 criteria. The criteria were divided into six divisions:

      • Employees

A jury of international experts did the estimates. So far, it is the only glamping site with six stars in the world.
